NRDR 13.18 Release Notes

The following update is being introduced as part of NRDR version 13.18 on December 4, 2021.


New File Versions Available for NMD and LCSR


NMD File Version 3.3 will now include new values for "Tumor Stage".  The new values are in RED below. NOS = Not Otherwise Specified, should be used when only the Stage number is known but not the letter group.


NMD File Version 3.4 has a new optional field for "Method of Detection".  This field will not be available in previous NMD file versions.

LCSR File Version 1.6 contains modifications to the Histology field and includes additional elements.  The newly added fields allow reporting of the histology of secondary cell types.  These new elements will be available in the LCSR Data Export report.  The validation rules have been updated to allow reporting histology for all malignant tissue diagnoses.


LCSR file version 1.5 and 1.6 data validation rule updated for data fields Tissue diagnosis method and Location from which sample was obtained. The new data validation rule changes are below.

  • Tissue Diagnosis Method

    • If Tissue_Diagnosis is populated and not 8, 12, or 99, then Tissue_Diagnosis_Method is required.

    • If Tissue_Diagnosis = 8, 12, or 99, then Tissue_Diagnosis_Method is optional.

  • Location from which sample was obtained 

    • If Tissue_Diagnosis is populated and not 8, 12, or 99, then Location_From_Sample_Obtained  is required.

    • If Tissue_Diagnosis = 8, 12, or 99, then Location_From_Sample_Obtained  is optional.

Select CTC Operational Reports Retired

The following CTC operational reports will be retired: Accrual, Case Detail, Case Status, Data Export, and Metrics reports.  The information in these reports can be found in the new CTC interactive reports.


Fluoro Skin Reaction Assessments Page

Fluoro exams that exceed 5mGy will appear on the Fluoro Skin Reaction Assessments page.  Users will be able to capture clinical information about a patient's skin reaction response to these exams.


3D Printing Exam Form

The data element Operative Time is now an optional field on the 3D Printing Exam form.
